Description
An Introduction to Firdaria: Time Lords in Motion by eminent Australian Astrolger Joy Usher
Firdaria is a system of planetary periods, possibly originating from Persia in the first century, and is just one of a variety of predictive methods using the planets as governing forces over certain periods of time in an individual’s life. A daytime birth – Sun above the horizon – will begin the firdaria pattern with the Sun’s period of ten years. A night-time birth – Sun below the horizon – will begin the firdaria pattern with the Moon’s period of nine years. From there, the planets follow each other in what is known as The Chaldean Order, from Saturn at the highest point to the Moon which is the sphere situated closest to Earth.
Seventy years are given into the care of the seven visible planets – Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon – but the time periods are not a neat division of one decade per planet. Rather, the timing period ranges from the minimum period of seven years (Mars) to the maximum period of thirteen years (Mercury). The Nodes step in after the rotation of the planets for five years, and once this time is completed, the Firdaria cycle begins for a second time at the age of seventy five – with the Sun’s period for a diurnal birth and the Moon’s period repeated for a nocturnal birth. My book Firdaria: Time Lords for Today is due for release mid-2026 and will be available from Revelore Press.
